"Raghavan possesses outstanding skills as a recipe developer, teacher, caterer and writer. Equally important is his ability to communicate the culture and traditions behind his foods. He brings a unique perspective to his work - giving us a fuller understanding of how the foods of India are part of the country’s culture."
Lynne Rossetto Kasper

"When he teaches cooking classes, he makes a considerable effort to also inform his audiences about the cultural context of the dishes he prepares. I don’t know of any other cooking teacher or caterer in this area with his expertise in the areas of Indian vegetarian cooking, and south Indian cooking."
Jeremy Iggers - Restaurant Critic: Minneapolis Star and Tribune

"His emphasis on both the cultural aspects of Indian food and the health benefits of vegetarian cooking are a vital contribution to the culture, health and economy of this country. His passion for developing and teaching classic Indian recipes adopted for American cooks is evident in his work as a teacher, recipe writer and chef."
The Late US Senator From Minnesota: Paul Wellstone
